Duties and responsibilities:
Our Oxfordshire farm consists of 1500ha of arable land implementing a CTF system using modern equipment. We are seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the farm, working closely with the Farm Manager.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordination of the day-to-day operations of a small team including all aspects of arable farming.
- Proactively promote and maintain high standards of Health and Safety across the Farms, taking initiative to resolve and/or draw attention to areas that do not meet required standards.
- Daily reporting to Farm Manager.
- Managing and updating internal systems e.g., Gatekeeper, cattle-management systems, Blackcat (grain storage systems) and Epicor.
- Keeping up-to-date accurate records.
- Performing combining duties alongside relief spraying and drilling.
- Servicing and maintenance of equipment within the workshop.
- Any other ad-hoc duties within your capabilities.
This role is expected to be around 35% desk-based and 65% hands-on however this may vary dependent on the time of year.

Person specification:
- 2 years experience working within a Foreman role.
- Experience in using modern-day machinery, working with cattle and outside grazing.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail
- IT literate and experienced in using financial and farm management systems.
- Hands-on with a can-do attitude
- Proactive and flexible approach to work
- Willing to take responsibility and ownership of tasks
- Ability to work autonomously when required, alongside effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Hold a current UK driving licence
- Hold PA1 and PA2 certificates
- Hold a rough terrain telescopic certificate
