Medlam Barns were converted in 2020. From a building that has stood empty and abandoned for many years, the farm buildings have been sensitively redeveloped to enhance the existing site. A key part of our approach to estate management is to ensure the working history of the estate is preserved.

Quick Start Guide

Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine

Fill the clear water tank with fresh drinking water. Turn the machine on by pushing the button on the top of the machine. The red light will blink whilst the machine is heating up. When it is green, and no longer flashing the machine is ready.

Place a cup of sufficient capacity under the coffee outlet.

Open the machine head, this will release the capsule holder.

Inset the capsule with the dome face facing down and push the lever down to close the machine head. Push the button to star the brewing.

Quick Start Guide

Dishwasher

When the left-hand button is pushed in, the dishwasher is on.

Use the programme button to select a wash type. It is selected when the red light is next to the programme.

Place a dish washer tablet in the main dishwasher detergent dispenser and close it.

Make sure that all the items you are going to wash are dishwasher safe.

Close the dishwasher door and the machine will start.

When finished the dishwasher will beep.

Quick Start Guide

Hob and Extractor Fan

To use the extractor, press the strength of extraction you need, 1 being the weakest and 3 being the strongest. The light can also be turned on. To turn everything off press the off button.

To use the hob. Use the ON/OFF button to turn the hob on. Select which ring you would by pressing on the surface of the hob. You will then be able to turn the strength up and down from 0-9. To turn the ring off set it to 0. If you want to turn the whole hob off use the ON/OFF button.

Quick Start Guide

The Dyson V11 Vacuum is hug on its charging block on the wall in the utility room.

To Use:

Remove the Dyson from the charging block. Pull the trigger on the handle to start the suction. There are three settings of Max, Medium and Low. This can be changed by using the sliding button on the body of the Dyson.

To Remove Parts:

Push in the red buttons and pull the parts away from the main body of the Dyson. To add parts (different heads are kept in the cupboards in the utility room) push the red button and push the parts towards the body of the Dyson.

To Empty:

Take off any parts that are attached to the main body of the Dyson. Make sure not to pull the trigger and to do into the bin. Push the red leaver under the handle downwards. This will release the waste in the Dyson. Lift the side that had been released and click it back in place.

Quick Start Guide

Microwave

Turn on the appliance.

Place the food in a container suitable for use with microwaves and put it onto the glass plate.

Press ‘POWER’ to select one of the five cooking powers (100% = high 20% = low)

Turn the ‘TIME/MENU’ knob anti clockwise to set the time

The ‘START’ symbol will flash and the ‘1s’ will light up.

To start cooking, press the ‘TIME/MENU’ knob. The microwave oven will now start to cook.

When the food has finished cooking the oven will beep 4 times to let you know and the word ‘END’ will be displayed.

Washer/Dryer

Washing Only

The ON/OFF button is on the top right of the machines face.

Use the right side of the dial to select the programme required (main wash, rinse, spin, end) and temperature selection (60°C, 40°C, 30°C, and cold water)

Put a pod into the wash or add detergent to the detergent drawer.

Press SELECT OPTION AND DRYING LEVEL together to activate/deactivate CHILD LOCK.

Press START/PAUSE to start the dryer, press this same button to stop the dryer.

Drying Only

The ON/OFF button is on the top right of the machines face.

Use the left side of the dial to select one of the bottom two programmes.

Press SELECT OPTION AND DRYING LEVEL together to activate/deactivate CHILD LOCK.

INTENSITY selects the heat setting.

Press START/PAUSE to start the dryer, press this same button to stop the dryer.

Washing and Drying

The ON/OFF button is on the top right of the machines face.

Use the left side of the dial to select ‘WASH&DRY’ COTTON or QUICK.

Put a pod into the wash or add detergent to the detergent drawer.

Press SELECT OPTION AND DRYING LEVEL together to activate/deactivate CHILD LOCK.

Press START/PAUSE to start the dryer, press this same button to stop the dryer.

TV

The ON/OFF is the red button on the top left of the remote.

When pointing the remote at the TV and arrow will appear. Use this arrow to navigate

round the tv, alongside the wheel button. To select press the WHEEL button.

Pressing guide allows you to select what is currently on.

If you press the HOME button, this will take you to the internet, Netflix, amazon prime etc…

Fan

To Control with a remote,

To operate point the remote towards the front base of the fan.

On the remote the top left button turns it ON/OFF

The top right button turns the oscillation ON/OFF

The bottom left button turns the airflow UP/DOWN

Bottom right controls the sleep timer.

To control without a remote

Press the ON/OFF button on the front base of the fan.

Press and hold the ON/OFF button to adjust airflow (airflow will increase to maximum before decreasing)

The oscillation and sleep timer cannot be controlled without the remote.

Quick Start Guide

Heating

To view the current floor temperature press and hold the right and left arrows for 5 seconds.

The up/Down keys allow you to adjust the set temperature.

When you press either key you will se the word SET and the desired temperature value. Use the UP/DOWN keys to adjust the SET value.

Press the TICK button to confirm settings and return to the main display.

The sliding switch turns the power ON/OFF.

The button below this is the cold shot. Press and hold this button to deactivate heat and set style.

The Red button on the right controls the 4 different temperature settings.

The button on the left controls the 3 different air flow settings.

Key Safe

Press the circular button the wake the key lock.

Enter the code that was given to you.

Press the two buttons on the side at the same time and pull the face of the key lock away from the body.

To lock, shut the face back onto the body of the Key Lock.
