The Housekeeping Supervisor is an entry level management role overseeing the operational management of the Dyson Farming Leisure portfolio. The right candidate will have scope to develop the role to take on more responsibility for the leisure enterprise. This position could be suitable for a hospitality graduate or someone more experienced looking to use their existing skills to progress into a managerial role.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ensuring that holiday lets and events spaces are presented to the highest standard.
  • Support the Leisure Coordinator to enhance and improve the leisure offering across the portfolio.
  • Oversee the catering and hosting for the simulated game shoot.
  • Supervise and quality assure the portfolio of 10 holiday lets, and a conference centre.
  • Manage the day to day activities of Lincolnshire housekeepers and cleaning contractors, managing rotas, holiday cover and timesheets.
  • Carry out changeover cleaning and laundry for two holiday lets (for at least 12 months with scope to delegate this responsibility as the role develops).
  • Ensure cleaning supplies are available at all locations and the inventory is managed efficiently to control operational cost.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies throughout the leisure enterprise – respond to guest enquiries in a professional and proactive manner.
  • Liaising with the maintenance team to rectify any defects in a timely manner.
Person specification:

You must be:

  • Able to demonstrate a commitment and proactive attitude to health and safety regulations including COSHH, manual handling and working at height.
  • Experienced working within the hospitality sector in F&B, housekeeping, leisure or events.
  • Personable – you need to be a real people person. Engaging with our guests and building good working relationships with the wider team is really important. You must be able to deal with challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Professional – we are proud to receive a lot of excellent guest feedback so we set high standards for customer service and the presentation of our properties.
  • A team player – you’ll be overseeing the work of the housekeeping team but we also need you to get stuck in so that you can understand the challenges and opportunties as they present themselves.
  • Proactive – you must be on the ball and have a good attention to detail, particularly when it comes to checking our high standards are maintained. You need to be highly organised and able to manage your time efficiently.
  • Mobile – this is a physically active role and you will need a full driving licence as travel between properties is required (vehicle provided).
